Acknowledgments and Sponsors

On most pages in this website, we are presenting resources that are available on the Life and IBD website (www.lifeandibd.org) provided by the European Federation of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA) supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Abbott. Life and IBD is an online resource specifically designed for people living with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.

The aim of EFCCA is to improve the well being of patients with IBD and their partners and families through:

- working with and for the EFCCA Member National Associations and others throughout all of Europe

- facilitating the exchange of information and the promotion of cross-frontier activities

- effecting regular contact with the European authorities, doctors, health professionals and organisations and with others world-wide

- the encouragement of scientific research into Crohn's and Colitis (IBD) causes and treatment

EFCCA has made all reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information on Life and IBD website, but can take no responsibility for your use of it. Nor can EFCCA take responsibility for anything contained in other linked sites. It has to be emphasized that the purpose of the Life and IBD site is informational and educational, and it is not a substitute for medical advice. If you are in any doubt as to your medical condition, or if you are in need of advice, you should consult your doctor or other health professional. EFCCA also notes that the materials on the Life and IBD site are intended primarily for the use of persons accessing it from within Europe.

We are very grateful to EFCCA for giving us permission to reproduce material from their Life and IBD website on the website of the MACC.

MACC is also grateful to the Farsons Foundation and Bank of Valletta for the financial support given to the association.
